About Dafni (briefly)

My name is Dafni Petratou and I’m a mixed media artist based in Wageningen, the Netherlands. My work is all about making images; illustrating texts, creating posters and painting murals. I also love working with people, so I design and realize participatory  projects and art workshops.

I work in different places: My workshops are an old cigar factory, a cultural community centre, and of course the world, since live sketching is a big part of my practice.

About Dafni (less briefly)

 I come from Greece, where I also studied Architecture. I came to Wageningen for a master's degree, to learn more about how society and nature interact with each other. 

This path made me very interested to link art and education in all sorts of ways. I started facilitating nature education classes, creating art-based research material and facilitating workshops on creativity and education.  Aside from that I coordinate a local community newspaper that sheds alternative light to research, learning and academia (the Jester). Those activities made me who I am today, and gave a diverse, but clear direction to my work an an artist.
